New Pet!

So we ordered some killifish eggs and they finally hatched! I have some pictures of them but I couldn't find any online pictures of how they'll look when they grow older. The breed type is "Chromaphyosemion Biuittatum Funge" and I don't think it has a common name.. lol

There's our little baby! :')

And this is our tank setup for now. They're still less than a week old so we don't want to introduce anything new yet because we still haven't settled down and we have to move in less than a month so yepp! This tank is temporary and only for when we newly hatch our babies and then when they start to get bigger we move them to a bigger tank :)

I've started another blog just dedicated to our killifish and you can read up on them here: killifishwithjkar
Thank you for reading me! ;P

Fish Cleaning Supply Giveaway!

It's 3:33 AM right now and we're gonna go fishing in a bit! But while we're waiting for it to be 5ish, I was cleaning our old fish tanks that need to be washed because Aaron is leaving the country soon and we gotta clean out our tanks (long story).. We've been letting them run with no fish for around 2 weeks now.. blech
It's accumulated a lot of gunk and I decided to clean it out to keep me awake.
Who else has small hands that basically don't fit properly into gloves.. like ever.. Whether it be latex gloves for dissecting or just winter gloves to keep you warm.. which I don't think work at all.. lol
I found these gloves in size S at Daiso which is a Japanese convenience store I guess you could call it. We found these as well as the brush.

This brush is PERFECT for cleaning out the little ditches in tanks. The glass tanks don't have them but the plastic ones do. We had the betta bow for when we had bettas.
As you can see here, I'm cleaning out the little ditches that this tank has. It's also perfect for cleaning the corners in tanks so you can use them for glass tanks as well. You can also use regular toothbrushes as well which is what we did at first but as you can see, this brush also has bristles on the top. You can't reach the bottom corners with a regular toothbrush but you can with this one!

I was thinking that I might want to do a little giveaway to get my blog going as well as wanting to share this with you guys! Please tell me if this is something you may want because then, I can prepare and get the items to giveaway! This is free and I will currently only be shipping in the U.S.A.

What I want to giveaway is the brush as well as a pair of gloves because I have never found gloves that fit me as perfect as these do. Think Asian sizes because it is from an Asian store. I have really small fingers so this glove was perfect for me. If you want, I can give you the measurements of my hands/fingers (lol) so you guys can get a better idea of how small/big you want to go!
Thank You and please let me know in the comments below and feel free to check out my other posts! :)

Fishing!

We went fishing at Lake Perris at our favorite spot again. We always ask about other spots and have heard they catch in other areas but our area has never failed us. Today we caught 2 fish to take home and we caught like 4 others but they were too small.. One was a baby :'( All were either large mouth or small mouth bass.

So this is lake perris and we like to fish near the left mountain looking thing. It's actually an island and there's a piece that sticks out and you can fish behind it, in front of it or go a little further down and fish. It's the best place to fish (in our experience). We caught so many fish but had to let many of them go :(

This was the biggest fish we caught! Well Aaron caught it. It was 16 in when we came home to measure it. I swear it looked like it was 18 though..

Btw we were at Walmart on Valley Springs Pkwy the night before and found out they sell live bait as well!! And a bit cheaper. It was 25 nightcrawlers for $5.00 ish. I don't think the fish at Lake perris respond well to fake worms.. or the spoon bait.. or fake frogs.. because we've tried all three and we've only ever caught fish with live worms. Unless we're doing something wrong.. haha
